Luis Marines  has +6 years of experience working as a designer and researcher for service and strategic design projects across Argentina, Uruguay, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. He has a broad cross-industry experience approaching to complex sociotechnological challenges and unpacking them to collaboratively design and implement meaningful and impactful solutions delivered at scale.

Marines has a transdisciplinary background in Graphic Communication Design (UAM-A), Strategic Marketing (UNNOBA), Social Complexity (C3 - UNAM), and Strategic Design (UBC), — which has allowed him to work with innovative organisations such as INSITUM, Happy Cities, the UBC Policy Studio, and FJORD (now Accenture Song).
 
He has also worked as a lecturer at the Marketing and Advertising Undegraduate Program and the Design Studies Graduate Program at CENTRO, diseño | cine | televisión. His main research interests are systemic design, visual complexity, knowledge mobilisation, and policy innovation. Marines is actively involved in academia, —he has presented some of his research in editions of the Relating Systems Thinking and Design Symposium and has being published by Mexican universities such as UNAM and UAM
